It's just that as I work more and more on 11g I have to go back to the fundamentals to verify how things work. Sometimes a feature may work as it did before, but since I might not use it much I forgot the details of it. Even with some simple concepts like the SGA and the instance processes, I find myself looking up the new processes along with reading about what (if anything) has changed with the old processes.
Ah, ok, thanks Jeff. My range of work is almost certainly much narrower than yours, but I too find myself re-reading the same documentation over and over. It's just become part of my work flow, I guess.
One new thing: I'm starting to spend time on supporting tools like Python's cx_Oracle and Clojure's sql libs....
