It may be early...
It is really early in the College Basketball season, but who would have thought the North Carolina Tarheels would give the Illini a strong fight and be 4-1 after seeing Illinois AND Kentucky? Just when everyone counted old Roy out...

Sorry I don't understand your comment. North Carolina is a perennial champion team why would it be surprising that they are 4-1? My own team the Spartans should be a contender in both the mens and womens brackets this year eventually in March madness. Still all in all college basketball is close to turning into "entertainment" instead of a sport ... just too much money and too much cheating by the alumni.
True, UNC is typically a contender. However, after last year's championship season they lost their 7 top scorers to the NBA draft or graduation. After those 7, the next higest PPG was like 6. Three upper classmen and 5 or 6 freshmen doesn't bode well for a championship season.
